Birds in Paintings cant fly

Friday March 12, 2010

Birds in paintings cant fly. There a great band with a great sound. I have known most of these guys for quite a while. There just great at what they do. The day was freezing with a touch of windy. That didn't stop us at all. We sucked it up and just dealt with it.

The location was actually at the beach. Though you really cant tell this was a beach at all. Ok let me rephrase that beach comment. Its kind of a beach with lots of trash and junk all over the place. There you go that a better description. Its no Myrtle Beach.

As previously stated it was freezing. Our hands were blue and our noses were red. So our goal to get great shots quick. As a photographer we are use to this. Move quick get the shots and go home. One of the first things that photographers need to do is scout the location. Take a look around see the environment. One of the key things to look for when you are looking at the environment is the light. Where is the best light? Light is 85% of photography.

The sun was going down quick which is perfect for photography. The key thing to remember is the position of the sun plays a huge factor on light. If the sun is at 12 o'clock your going to get very harsh shadows. Where for us it was at more like 3 and going down further. This is the best time because there is no harsh shadows what so ever. Its just perfect.

We started to use the couch, then quickly ditched it to try other ideas. Overall the shoot took about 1 hour and we tried many things and many ideas. This shoot was great. The guys were great. And I will let the shots speak for it self. Send me your feed back
